because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character;
and character, hope.”
Romans 5:3-4
God has spared me from extreme suffering. Some days have been hard and some have been REALLY hard, however my life has never been threatened for declaring my faith. I have not seen persecution. Yet even in the simple hard that I have experienced, I can have hope, first and foremost, for a life everlasting with my Heavenly Father. A life where the hard disappears.
I can also have hope in a God who is working in me.
"For You, O God, have tested us;
You have refined us as silver is refined."
Psalm 66:10
I can rejoice in the hard as I know that I am being refined and changed for His greater purpose.
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."
Romans 8:28
